Brian Hockenstein

Brian is a socially conscious documentary filmmaker with over two decades of experience in storytelling and cinematography in some of the most remote regions of the world. Blending themes of outdoor adventure, climate and social justice messaging, Brian’s two previous features; The Radicals and Resilience have been widely acclaimed. In addition to his work as a Cinematographer and Director for hire, he currently has several exciting projects in development. He is based in Squamish, BC in the winters and on his sailboat, the SV Estera, in the summers. Which is currently moored in the Broughton Archipelago and is used as a platform for exploration and storytelling. Brian will be assisting Sea Change in filming our Coastal Champions at work surrounding Vancouver Island in the Summer of 2023.
